KU·RO  DO·JO (Ku-ro Do-jo)

Kuro Dojo is Japanese for Black Dojo and is the symbolic home of all people of color who love anime. The love and respect we share for anime and our culture is the driving force that is at the foundation of Kuro Dojo and the brand.

Kuro Dojo is a clothing and merch brand that was created by three blerds who united to create a space where their passion and culture could be combined in a fun and creative way. The founders Dominique Robinson, Aaron Bradly, and Caleb Smith, created Kuro Dojo in 2021. They, like many other fans, saw a lack of representation for a large minority fan base and decided to fill that space with a brand for blerds by blerds.
This love for anime, music, and culture started at an early age and has continued throughout adulthood. Anime, video games, music, etc., provided a much needed escape from the everyday hardships and struggles we've faced. Similarly, our designs create another avenue for people to express themselves and show pride for their passions.
This brand is designed to allow fans another way to express their love for their favorite shows without fear of being called weird or feeling out of place. You are home here and we share that same love. We designed the brand to highlight POC but that does not mean we are exclusive to others. We've simply created a space for black representation in order to show the limitless potential in us all.
Our unique take on anime clothing, makes our designs easily identifiable by fellow blerds, but also has a swag that turns heads even to those who are unfamiliar with the community. We are constantly working on new designs as we continue to grow. So, please stay tuned as we share our love, culture, and style with you all. Hope you enjoy!
